Richard "Gus" Gusler has
been in the entertainment field for almost 20 years. Mr.
Gusler has been a concert promoter, band manager and band
attorney. He started as a concert promoter in 1982, which he
continued to do during his law school career.
Mr. Gusler focused on Entertainment
Law and Criminal Law in 1990 while with the firm of Cheshire,
Parker, Hughes & Manning. In 1993 his began his own
practice focusing on Entertainment and Sports Law. During
this time, he has negotiated numerous recording and publishing
contracts, as well as endorsement agreements on behalf of his
clients.
Mr. Gusler is currently teaching a
senior level Music Management Class at North Carolina State
University. He has been a guest lecturer at
several major universities, including Columbia School of Law,
Cardozo School of Law, University of North Carolina School of Law,
Villanova School of Law, North Carolina Central School of Law and
the University of South Carolina School of Law.
